ITEC announces record results

2nd May 2017

Bristol-based technology company ITEC has announced record results as the company continues its strong growth. In the 12 months to the end of February 2017 ITEC Connect Ltd posted revenues of £27.4 million – up 26% compared to revenues of £21.7 million in the previous financial year.

ITEC’s success to date has been built on a combination of strong organic growth combined with strategic acquisitions to expand the company’s portfolio of services.

  • A key factor has been accelerating demand for newer services – including, for example, organisations looking to modernise their telephone systems.
  • A second major factor has been ITEC’s strategy of investing in local companies in the South-West with relevant and complementary technology offerings.

Significant milestones for ITEC in the last 12 months have included:

  • Completion of the acquisition of Stem, a Plymouth based IT services company that is now fully integrated into ITEC.
  • An investment in MailaDoc, a Bridgwater, Somerset, based company that leads the way in hybrid mail (a method for companies to reduce the cost of their outbound postal communications).
  • Accreditation on the CPC Framework – a list of approved suppliers widely used by IT managers in education. ITEC is the only company based in the South-West to feature on the Framework.
  • Opening a new office in Manchester.

CEO Nick Orme commented: “The world is changing and at work most of us are moving faster, thinking quicker and getting more done. What connects all our customers is an appetite for using technology to work smarter and to help them become agile.

“What makes ITEC different and really drives our success is our account management model. No matter which services you buy from us, customers deal with the same account team who understand your business, get what you’re trying to achieve and work in close partnership with you.”

ITEC now employs 180 people and, in addition to Bristol, has offices in Bournemouth, Bridgwater (Somerset), Exeter, London, Manchester, Plymouth and Redruth (Cornwall).
