ITEC will be sponsoring a rugby coaching session with retired Welsh International Rugby Union player, Lee Byrne on the 13th July at Bradley Stoke Community School in South Gloucestershire.

ITEC won this unique opportunity in a prize draw in aid for the charity ‘Together for Short Lives’. The charity “Together for Short Lives”, established in November 2011, ensures that the 49,000 children living with life-limiting conditions are supported, taken care of and receive necessary medical attention. Their goal is to limit the amount of life-threatening illnesses amongst young children.

Lee Byrne retired from the Rugby Union back in April 2015 and was known as the best fullback player in the world. He also played in the wing position as well as the fullback during his time as a rugby player.

We are very excited to be able to share this two-hour rugby session with Bradley Stoke Community School. Not only is it a chance for all the students to get active and involved in sport, it’s a unique experience for the young rugby enthusiasts to get specialist training from a rugby pro.

The whole team is looking forward to a great time and ITEC Account Director Alex Greenfield adds, “This is a fantastic win for everyone. We raised money for the charity and will get the kids happy with a rugby session coached by a well-known ex-player. This brings smiles all around.”
